Audition Info

Thank you for your interest in auditioning for The Lightning Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical! We encourage you to think outside the norm when preparing your audition. The directors are looking beyond race, gender, and physical ability type casting. Above all, the characters in The Lightning Thief are gods and heroes–and gods and heroes can look like any of us!

All actors are required to prepare 16-32 bars of song in the rock/pop style of the show. Musical Theatre pieces in this genre are welcome! Please bring sheet music for the accompanist or prepare to sing a capella. (Tracks will not be permitted.)

Actors must also prepare a 1 minute monologue from a published play, in contrast with their musical selection. For example, if you’ve chosen a dramatic monologue, your song should be more upbeat and or comedic-and vice versa.

Auditions will be held Saturday May 13 from 9am-2pm and Sunday May 14 from 9am-12pm.

CALLBACKS will be SUNDAY MAY 14th at 2pm. Please wear clothes you can comfortably move around in and close toed shoes.

Auditions will be held at the Carolyn Owens Community Center, 13201 Central Avenue Chino, CA 91710.

We look forward to seeing you! Break a leg, demi-gods!
